The latest round of USDA Regional Conservation Partnership Program funding awards covers 85 projects for about $330 million dollars for fiscal year 2021. NRCS Acting Chief, Terry Cosby, said with this latest group of RCPP projects the end total, 336 such projects are in place throughout the country.

"They are supported by over 2000 partners made up of private land owners and AG producers, joined by non-government organizations and businesses," Cosby noted. "​Through this partnership individuals or entities are able to go out and find other partners that are willing to match dollar for dollar the investment from USDA. And then by having that leverage you're able to get more conservation on the ground."

RCPP and its projects were also given recent recognition by Agriculture Secretary, Tom Vilsack, for their part in efforts with in USDA's suite of conservation programs to implement climate-smart agriculture solutions and incentives.
