American agriculture product export prospects looked dire a year ago, but to quote USDA Outlook Board Chairman Mark Jekanowski, now, "it's a dynamic time. it's absolutely wild". When looking at Ag numbers from the first half of this fiscal year, exports hit $92.4 billion, well in front of the $73.6 billion recorded this time last year. USDA economist Dylan Russell said that's almost 19% higher than the same time frame in 2020. March alone was a big export month; over $15 billion dollars.

"And it's looking like it's on it's upward trajectory for next month. It will be interesting to see what the numbers are."

Jekanowski added the year-over-year changes is almost unbelievable.

"I don't think many people would have ever predicted that we would be where we are right now."
