Ag Secretary, Tom Vilsack, says there are six areas the new America the Beautiful will address.

"First, rewarding the voluntary conservation efforts to ranchers farmers and foresters. Second, partnering with nature-deprived communities to create parks and open spaces."

Third, would be supporting tribal-led conservation and restoration priorities, while fourth would be expanding wildlife habitat.

"Fifth, increasing access to outdoor recreation and sixth creating jobs by investing in restoration and resilience."

The new report outlines the government's vision for a voluntary effort to preserve 30% of the country's land and waters by 2030.

"This report calls on all of us across the country to unite around conserving America's land and water. USDA looks forward to working with our federal partners. But most importantly, working with states, tribes, local communities, producers, and land owners and many, many others to make this happen."
