Earlier this month, the Biden Administration released the America the Beautiful report, which outlines locally led and voluntary efforts nationwide to conserve and restore 30% of the nation's lands and waters by 2030.

"Those making their living from the land are farmers, ranchers, and foresters are bearing the brunt of climate change," said Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack. "While communities across the country are suffering longer and hotter droughts, catastrophic wildfires and other extreme weather events.

"From USDA's standpoint, we could use the inherent flexibility of our Farm Bill Conservation programs to work with producers, land owners, conservation groups, and states to conserve farm lands, ranch lands, and forest lands. We recently announced a rather significant expansion of our Conservation Stewardship Program and as well as the Conservation Reserve Program."

America the Beautiful is a ten year program requiring additional resources from Congress.​
