Vilsack No Better Place To Invest Than Rural America

During the recent annual Select USA Investment Summit, Agriculture Secretary, Tom Vilsack made his pitch for business and job investment in rural America.

"I believe that there is no better place to invest than in rural America; and in businesses that support and are associated with agriculture, renewable energy, and food systems."

Vlisack pointed to the Farm-to-Market involvement of USDA from supporting agriculture production to  its foreign agricultural offices  across the globe opening new and expanding existing markets. He also notes rural innovation that he believes  will lead to new economic and investment opportunities such as bio-fuels, bio-based products, and climate-smart agriculture.

"There are opportunities in every region in the United States for folks to invest to become part of something big in food, agriculture, and climate solutions. Rural America is ready."
