The USDA is bringing back a program aimed at supporting risk management education and training through universities and non-profit organizations. RMA Acting Administrator, Richard Flournoy, said for this year, "we're going to have about one million dollars worth of funds going to nine different projects.

With those projects involving a specific area of focus.

"What you'll see this year is education funded towards historically under-served communities including Native Americans African Americans, Latinos, veterans, women, and beginning farmers and ranchers. And we also have in a couple states (Texas and Connecticut) bilingual projects that will be conducted."

And these partnership-based projects, he noted, involve education regarding a variety of topics in the realm of Risk Management:  from available crop insurance products and options within those offerings, to wildfire preparedness, response, and recovery strategies for Ag producers.
