The Washington State Wine Commission launched a New Website and mobile app just in time for Washington Wine Month. Digital Programs Manager Bretty Rawson said they are very excited about their latest venture.

“It's essentially Washington wine country in your back pocket. It's the guide to your next glass, so you can create and share itineraries with friends and family. You can discover new wineries and events in your area. It's basically a mobile app that helps you plan that trip you wanted to take and explore different wine regions in Washington."

Rawson says the timing is great with August serving as Wine Month, but it was more of a happy accident. He noted that part of their work on a new website evolved to include the mobile app, an app designed to help people more easily find a winery, or an AVA, near them.

"Our hope obviously is that it just collapses that distance between people and wineries, giving them a better chance to get to know what's happening in the wine regions in Washington State."

For wineries that want to be part of the app, that aren't already, they can update their profiles with the Wine Commission which will automatically populate on the website and app.
