Ledford Joins USWA West Coast Office

Tyllor Ledford has joined U.S. Wheat Associates as their new Assistant Director of the West Coast Office in Portland. The Colorado native said she grew up on a ranch that also grew alfalfa and was heavily involved in 4-H and FFA before attending Texas Tech University.

"Where I studied Agriculture and Applied Economics. While I was there, I was also on the Texas Tech Ranch Horse Team and the Horse Judging Team. So agriculture is something I am very passionate about."

She said she's looking forward to serving the people who make the industry what it is. Ledford said while she doesn't have a background in wheat, she has a lot of experience in other parts of the agriculture industry.

"I can relate to the problems that they're facing and the challenges that they want help to overcome through our organization. Also, through my time at 4-H and FFA, I have done a lot of communicating and talking with people and building those connections."

Ledford added she plans to use those connections to help farmers connect with buyers as well as serve the needs of growers.
