The Lookout Mountain Pack remains very busy in Oregon’s Baker County. According to the Oregon’s Department of Fish and Wildfire, investigators were called out Monday afternoon, after a 400 pound calf was found dead in a 2,000 acre forested private-land pasture. ODFW said the carcass was largely consumed but most of the hide was intact. The calf was estimated to have died three to four days prior to the investigation. The location, size, number, and direction of tooth scrapes is consistent with wolf attack injuries on calves.

The depredation is attributed to the Lookout Mountain Pack. ODFW has attributed nine depredations to the Lookout Mountain Pack.
