Cactus Health Services in rural Texas was outgrowing its leased facility in a non-commercial area.

"All patients in this two-county wide area and then we also get patients from all the way up in the city of Odessa that's an hour and a half away that come see our federally qualified health center."

And CEO Luis Villareal said that prompted Cactus Health to apply for USDA Rural Development health care related grants.

"When we came in here at the beginning of 2019 it was such a joy to walk in to this clinic."

A constructed modular building with expanded exam rooms, lab, and intake offices that in turn expanded staff and staff training. Currently RD is accepting application for emergency Rural Health Care grants through October 12th
