The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife confirmed this week two recent depredations were both done by the Lookout Mountain Pack. On Friday morning, investigators were called to the Daly Creek area of Baker County where a dead 450 pound calf was found on forested private-land pasture. Investigators estimate that calf was killed late Thursday September 16th.

Then on Saturday afternoon, a producer found an injured 450 pound calf on a 10,000+ acre private pasture in the Timber Canyon area. The calf was examined, and ODFW determined the injuries occurred three weeks earlier.

These are the 9th and 10th depredations attributed to the Lookout Mountain pack this year. And the news comes days after ODFW shot and killed three members of the pack in an effort to reduce chronic depredation.
