This is National Farm Safety and Health Week, a time to focus on both general safety and health matters on the farm or ranch but also specific topics from rural road safety, and anhydrous ammonia exposure.

When it comes to fatigue and sun safety.

"We see a lot of skin cancers especially on outdoor workers. So I always encourage, especially our guys, to protect their necks and ears especially we see a lot of skin cancers on the hands and forearm."

In addition, focus will be on various farm safety and health education resources available such as videos through organizations like the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety, and topic-specific webinars scheduled through this week.
