Oregon State University extension is holding an on-line survey looking at mineral supplementation of livestock within the state. The Survey will be used as a screening tool for a project funded by the Oregon Beef Council and proposed by OSU faculty, Juliana Ranches, Ian McGregor, and David Bohnert. The goal of the project is to evaluate the mineral status of cow-calf herds across the state through liver biopsy sampling while characterizing the currently used mineral supplementation programs.

Approximately 28 ranches or/and 350 cows will be enrolled in this project. There is no cost for producers to participate in this project, however OSU Extension officials not that survey completion does not guarantee enrollment in the study.
