Back in April, when President Biden had his climate summit at the White House he announced his AIM for Climate initiative, the Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate. It's goal is to form a coalition of nations to join that mission.

What's happened since then?

"Out focus for the last several months as President Biden announced it was to expand the coalition and we've actually tripled the number of countries interested in participating in AIM for climate," said Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack. He added the U.S. knows something about the technology in farming practices that could help agriculture reach a goal of zero green house emissions.

"The question is how do we accelerate the technologies that we know will ultimately help us get to  a net zero future in agriculture in our respective countries?"

Vilsack said there will be formal announcements about the climate coalition at the UN's big climate summit in early November.
