Voigt: Better Days Are Ahead For Potato Growers

Could there be a light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel?

While Chris Voigt, executive Director of the Washington state Potato Commission isn’t sure if the end of the pandemic is drawing near, he is confident that the future looks great for growers.

“We are definitely going to get back to pre-pandemic levels, we’re going to be back in that situation again where we were a couple of years ago where we just weren’t able to produce enough to meet our customers demand.  And that’s always a nice place to be at.”

Voigt added between the nutritional benefits and ease of use, the future looks great for consumers of potatoes and potato products as well.
