A series of trade dialogues between the United States and the United Kingdom kicked off earlier this week.

"We are starting this dialogue with an open mind, acknowledging that we may need to develop new tools and resources to tackle our shared challenges as they arise," said U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai.

"From tech to telecommunication, automation to A.I., biotech to biofuel.  We want to drive more growth and more inclusive growth between us," noted U.K. Secretary of State for International Trade Anne-Marie Trevelyan.

Those comments were made following two days of dialogue in Baltimore, MD. A second round of discussions on Atlantic trade will take place in the U.K. later this spring.

"We will also be meeting with stakeholders and local leaders to discuss how our bi-lateral trade dynamic can better address 21st century challenges," Tai noted.

Also later in 2022, more trade opportunities are scheduled via a USDA led agricultural trade mission to the United Kingdom.
