Agriculture Under Secretary for Rural Development Xochitl Torres Small at a House Agricultural Committee hearing renewable energy offerings and how their successes and lessons can be applied to a new Farm Bill. She noted popularity of programs such as the Rural Energy for America Program.

"It's over subscribed and when you look at grants, it was about $40.5-million in grants that were allocated and then another $30million in the wings waiting to be funded."
