According to NASS, hay stocks on farms as of May 1st totaled 530,000 tons in Idaho, up 29% from a year ago. May 1st stocks represent 12% of 2021 production. Disappearance from December 1st, 2021 was 1.82 million tons.

On-farm hay stocks in Oregon totaled 220,000 tons, down 24% from 2021. May 1st stocks are 9 percent of 2021 production. Disappearance from December 1st, 2021 totaled 700,000 tons.

Washington on-farm hay stocks totaled 180,000 tons down 18% from last year. May 1 stocks represent 7% of 2021 production. Disappearance from December 1, 2021 was 920,000 tons.

Hay stocks stored on-farm nationally totaled 16.8 million tons, down 7% from a year ago. May 1 stocks are 14% of 2021 production. Disappearance from December 2021 totaled 62.2 million tons.
