According to Oregon lawmakers, the new federal infrastructure package will fund forest management and wildfire resiliency, all while improving access to clean drinking water, expand broadband and pay for a host of other projects. During President Biden’s visit to the Beaver state last week, Oregon Governor Kate Brown said historically underserved communities struggle to access these basic needs.

“Equity is embedded into every single aspect of Oregon’s approach to implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.  We’ve made bold state investments that compliment those already made at the federal level.”

Brown said those state investments include the $200 million Future Ready Oregon workforce development program, and funding affordable housing and childcare programs.
