Fire Destroys Whitman County Elevator

Fire destroyed a Whitman County grain elevator Tuesday.  According to Pullman Radio News, the fire at Knott Elevator west of Endicott broke out around 1 p.m.  Area firefighters from LaCrosse, St. John, Colfax and surrounding communities responded but could not snuff out the flames.  The elevator and 100,000 bushels of wheat were lost in Tuesday’s […]
