Yakima River Flip Flop Beginning
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has announced that the annual reduction in flows from the Cle Elum Reservoir and switch over to the Rimrock Reservoir, better known as the flip-flop, is now underway.
The reason for shift is to keep low river flows for spawning salmon while not making a major impact on irrigation water for agriculture.
