The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is celebrating National Hunting and Fishing Day with an educational event in Wenatchee October 1st at the North Central Washington Gun Club.

Anyone 17 years of age or under can shoot WDFW firearms, archery equipment and air rifles for free.

There will also be classes on gun safety, learning to fish, lunch for up to 150 kids and much more.

WDFW Hunter Education Division Manager David Whipple says, “This family oriented event is a great way to introduce youth and newcomers to target shooting, hunting and fishing.”

All the details can be found on the WDFW website.
